Hey everyone!
I’m reaching out from the DeGov team. We’ve been spending a lot of time researching how different DAOs run their governance processes, and we’re trying to get a better sense of what CoW DAO actually needs when it comes to participation, delegation, and visibility around proposals.
This isn’t a proposal for action — more of a conversation starter to see what the community thinks.
1. Interest in Agentic Delegation
A few DAOs have recently started testing what they call “agentic delegates” — basically autonomous agents that help delegates and voters stay active without needing to constantly monitor the forums and Snapshot.
To give a sense of what we’ve built so far, the DeGov Agent can:
-
Summarize proposals and highlight the key points or risks
-
Track proposals in real time and share updates automatically on X/Twitter
-
Act as a delegate (if assigned) and vote before deadlines
-
Explain each vote based on the proposal text and community comments
It’s already live in other DAOs, but we’re mostly curious whether CoW DAO would see any value in something like this — either for delegates, working groups, or even just busy voters.
2. Making CoW DAO Governance More Visible (DeGovX)
We’re also building something called DeGovX (@degov_x) — a bot that posts governance updates directly on X.
The idea is simple: proposal created → shared on X. Voting open → shared on X. Summary → shared on X.
Some DAOs find this helpful because most community members spend more time on social platforms than in Snapshot or the forum.
If there’s interest, we could explore adding CoW DAO’s proposals and voting windows to DeGovX so members get better visibility without changing their daily habits.
3. A Few Questions for the Community
Before we go any further, we’d genuinely love to hear your thoughts:
-
Would CoW DAO ever consider experimenting with agentic delegates?
-
Do real-time proposal alerts or summaries on X sound useful?
-
Are there governance pain points today — e.g., a clearer transparency dashboard for DAO Grants, to quickly see the status of all active RFPs, budget usage, delivery progress on funded projects, past committee decisions and context etc.
We’re here mostly to learn what CoW DAO cares about — the real “jobs to be done” in your governance workflow.
