About You:

I am a data engineer and data analyst with a solid background in building data pipelines.

Grant Description:

This is a follow up of the previous grant proposal: Grant Application Data Pipeline for Solver Team

The work done so far in the context of the previous grant can be found in this repository: GitHub - cowprotocol/dbt

Follow-up grant description: Assist further with the development and migration of the CoW data infrastructure.

In an effort to improve the current data infrastructure, this grant is created to continue to advise and assist the core team of CoW protocol in redeveloping these data pipelines and the way that this data is processed.

So far, the foundations for the data pipelines have been created, but we need to automate and make it production ready.

Upon successful completion of this grant the core Solver team will have an automated and functioning data pipeline that calculates the solver rewards on all chains the protocol is deployed.

I will devote at least 10 hours each week to carrying out the Milestones specified in Milestones.

I shall provide the Services to CoW DAO from 10.02.2025 to 15.0.2025 (3 months of work - I will be gone 2 weeks for vacation)

Milestones:

Milestone 1

Full automation of the solver rewards data pipeline.

Milestone 2

Extension of the data pipeline to other chains.

Heya @butter_fly - cool to see a new application!

In the meantime, the GrantsDAO committee changed and the mandate to CoW DAO was renewed recently in CIP-63 in a slightly different manner and with different Grant Terms.

In short:

Please use the new template and applicable terms (to read and confirm).

In terms of Reviewer: I assume this is @harisang (to confirm)
I’ll be Steward
(You can find the description to the roles in the process guide).

also quickly to note please:
the new updated Committee Safe is not properly linked to Snapshot yet: please don’t move this over until a green light
Thanks

Thanks for the feedback @c3rnst !
So if I understand correctly, since I am doing a time-based grant (which used to be a core contributor grant?), it is ok if I don’t provide milestones but rather describe the scope of work as described here.
If this is correct, I think it makes sense to put in the template the Type of Grant above the Milestones part and list the different types of grants since they are new (as far as I understand).

And also, I will post a new grant application in the new template then since I do not have the rights to modify this post

Hey hey -
yes, indeed, the distinction between “core” and non-core grant no longer exists because it was blurry all along.

  • Yes, you’re doing a time-based grant, no need to provide milestones but scope of work! I will adjust the template, I guess that’s confusing - thanks for flagging.

A new application makes sense! Let me know if you have any other questions.

OK, I adjusted the template - let me know what you think and if this fits your grant application.
