Please break down the funding request by milestone.

Scope of Work (for time-based)

Time-Based Grants are not tied to specific deliverables but rather to the provision of time and effort.
The Grant Proposal for a Time-Based Grant will outline the scope of work, responsibilities, expected time commitment, and the unit of time for which the grant is awarded. This could be:

  • Hours: For short, focused tasks or specialized expertise needed for a limited time.
  • Days: For projects or roles requiring a dedicated effort over a few days or weeks.
  • Months: For ongoing roles or longer-term projects.

Make sure you include a meaningful and concrete funding request, which includes rough monthly estimates based on expected time spent (side note: this is relevant for the accounting).

Length

Please include a date where complete finalisation is expected or the length the program (e.g. volume program) runs. A grant should not exceed 6 months (and needs to be renewed with a new application). You may apply for a length exception with reason.

Please also include a commencement date (if nothing is specified, it’s with the successful passing of the proposal on Snapshot).

Funding Request:

Summarize the total funding you are requesting for your project, including the amounts in xDAI and COW tokens, if applicable. Justify the funding amount based on the project’s scope, complexity, and expected impact.
For time-based grants, please (i) indicate an estimate (while we understand that the actual time spent might differ) + please also (ii) indicate a total CAP (max. funding that will be requested as part of this grant, so that the Committee does not sign a “blank cheque”, this can be higher than your estimate).

Gnosis Chain Address (to receive the grant)

Specify one Gnosis Chain wallet address where you would like to receive the grant funds (the should ideally be the same as the Snapshot submission account).

Other Information (optional or keep it short)

Include any additional material or information that could strengthen your application, such as relevant documents, references, or previous work samples.

Terms and Conditions

Include the following line in your grant application and make sure you actually link these terms when you move this to Snapshot:

By submitting this grant application, I acknowledge and agree to be bound by the CoW DAO Participation Agreement and the CoW DAO Grant Agreement Terms.

INCLUDE NOTE TO COMMITTEE:
Please notify the Grantee of their reviewer and their steward in the thread and latest upon successful approval of the Grant on Snapshot.
