# Moo & Earn affiliate program: current mandate ends 2 October 2026

Moo & Earn launched on 2 April 2026 under[CIP-84](https://snapshot.org/#/s:cow.eth/proposal/0xfc6e96cf715be1ca1b36ca65892d8505222368a741933c828a30c6b3e224de28), which approved the program for six months. That period ends today, 2 October 2026.

**What this means for affiliates**

Rewards for eligible activity before 2 October are covered by CIP-84 and will be paid on the usual schedule.

Activity from 2 October onward is not covered by the current mandate. Rewards for it can’t be paid from DAO funds unless a new CIP approves them. Whether rewards for this period will be covered while an extension is considered hasn’t been decided yet. We’ll update this thread when it is.

We’ll confirm the status of affiliate codes in CoW Swap early next week.

**What’s next**

We’re reviewing the program’s results to decide whether to propose an extension. If we do, the proposal will be posted here for discussion before it goes to a Snapshot vote.

**Update: Moo & Earn after 2 October**

Affiliate codes remain active in CoW Swap, and affiliates can keep using and sharing them.

Rewards for activity from 2 October onward are being tracked but not paid for now. CIP-84’s mandate ended on 2 October, so these rewards can’t be paid from DAO funds without a new CIP.

We plan to propose a new CIP to extend the program, applying retroactively from 2 October. If the DAO approves it, the rewards tracked since 2 October will be paid. If it doesn’t, they won’t be.

The draft proposal will be posted here for discussion before it goes to a Snapshot vote.
